Doggy Daycare
Have you ever tried doggy daycare for your active, flying ball of fur? Most behavior problems can be controlled by simply making sure your dog has the activity stimulation that he needs to keep him from seeking trouble to get in to! Doggy day care playdates are a great way to wear Mr Trouble out and give you peace of mind.
If you want to give it a try, we can help recommend reputable businesses near you.
Email us at contactus@sandypawssleddogclub.com
or come to our next playdate meetup.
SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SHELTERS
Remember to visit your local Animal Services if you have lost a pet or are looking for a new pet.
Offer to volunteer if you have some extra time.
This map shows the many counties in Florida that all have local animal shelters needing your support. Contact one of these shelters today to offer your help.
FIND A HOME FOR YOUR DOG
If you are in a situation where you need to find a new home for your sled dog, we can help. We will post a photo and description of your dog here on our website. Anyone interested in adopting your dog will contact you directly about arrangements and you personally interview them to make sure it's a perfect fit for all involved. We call this a "referral" program and we offer it to you at no charge.

Sled Dogs In Need
Of Adoption...
PLEASE HELP!!!
This is an urgent plea to all of our great Sandy Paws Sled Dog Club members. There are so many sled dogs (Huskies, Mals and MORE) in Florida animal shelters that could be euthanized at any time unless all of us stand up and make an effort to help them. Many Rescue Organizations in the state are at full capacity and in need of sled dog lovers like US to help them foster these furballs in their homes until they are adopted. PLEASE! Can you help at all to save one of these beautiful souls? If you have the time, love and willingness to foster a sled dog, please let us know at contactus@sandypawssleddogclub.com and we will put you in contact with the appropriate rescue group. Those in the most urgent need are: Husky Haven of Florida www.huskyhavenfl.org Heidi's Legacy Dog Rescue www.heidislegacydogrescue.com Florida Malamute Rescue www.alaskanmalamute.rescueme.org Siberian Husky Rescue of Florida www.siberrescue.com Thank you! Dogs can be great companions for all ages. However, the selection of a dog can be a very tough decision. Every dog is a beautiful creature in its own right, but even though they are cute and fluffy, does not mean they'll be a good addition to your home. Still, adopting a dog can be a great idea. October is Adopt-A-Dog month, an annual event when many shelters actively promote the adoption of their adorable canines. Here are a few tips to show you how to pick the right dog and shelter so you will be ready for your Adopt-A-Dog month.
